A week full of Love and Friendship
It's been a week full of love.....and friendship. With a Girl Scout Valentine's Tea Party, a Funschooler's (unschooling group) Valentine's Party, and a Girl Scout overnighter at our house this weekend.
Violet made these cookies for the Funschooler's group, where we also brought some homemade Valentine's and enjoyed making Valentine's crafts and lots of playtime. Violet has become quite the baker. She really enjoys finding new recipes and bravely goes for it.
She also organized the Girl Scout Valentine's tea party. She created the menu and had the girls all sign up and bring stuff. She and the other Juniors decorated and set the tables and then had a game of charades afterwards. They enjoyed tea, scones, finger sandwiches and lots of other delicious treats that the girls had brought.
The Jr/Cadette overnighter was a lot of fun too. The girls created scrapbooks with photos taken of them during the year. They made a skit using the Girl Scout Law and enjoyed some s'mores in the backyard over a campfire. In the morning they enjoyed a short walk about the neighborhood while they looked for tadpoles and visited the neighbor's horses.
Olivia tagged along with the older girls and enjoyed making swaps with them in the morning. She hung out with daddy in the afternoon and enjoyed some playtime at Chuck E Cheese. Here she is opening a Valentine from one of her buddies during the girl scout tea party.
Hope your Valentine's Day and week were great as well!
